Instructor Steve
LEAD INSTRUCTOR
Steve is a professional firearms instructor and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in military special operations, local and federal law enforcement, and high threat diplomat protection.
After joining the Marine Corps, Steve passed selection for the Marine Corps’ special operations unit, Marine Reconnaissance. He later became a Force Recon Marine, serving on a counter terrorist/hostage rescue team. After serving in the Marines, Steve became a Police Officer for the City of Long Beach, CA. where he served the City of Long Beach with distinction for 10yrs.
After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, he was recruited by the Federal Air Marshal Service to help fight the terrorist threat within America. This was Steve’s second police academy, where he earned the top shooter award and was the class honor grad! While serving in the Air Marshals he became the Lead Firearms and Tactics Instructor for the Los Angeles Field Office.
Steve’s career also involved working for a government contract company on a State Department (Diplomatic Protection Detail) contract in Israel, providing close protection for US Diplomats visiting Palestine, and later working for Homeland Security as an Explosives Detection K9 Handler.
Throughout his careers Steve earned numerous commendations for his marksmanship, leadership, and dedication to duty. Steve is now retired from Federal service and is enjoying getting back to his love of educating the public and professional shooting communities.
